Encode and decode Base58 using the Bitcoin alphabet.

## What it does

Base58 removes visually ambiguous characters (0, O, I, l) and symbols, which is why Bitcoin addresses and some short identifiers use it. This converter uses the Bitcoin alphabet and preserves leading zero bytes.

## How to use

1. Choose encode or decode.
2. Paste the text.
3. Copy the result or swap it back into the input.

## FAQ

### Which Base58 alphabet is used?

The Bitcoin alphabet: 123456789ABCDEFGHJKLMNPQRSTUVWXYZabcdefghijkmnopqrstuvwxyz.

### Does it add a checksum?

No. This is raw Base58, not Base58Check. Address checksums are a separate step.

### Are leading zero bytes preserved?

Yes, each leading zero byte becomes a leading 1, as in the reference encoding.
