Compare two texts line by line and copy the diff.

## What it does

A line diff shows exactly what changed between two versions of a file, config or article. This tool uses a longest-common-subsequence comparison, then marks added and removed lines. Options let you ignore trailing whitespace or letter case when those should not count as changes.

## How to use

1. Paste the original and the new text.
2. Set the ignore options if needed.
3. Compare and copy the report.

## FAQ

### Does it handle very large files?

It caps comparison work to keep the tab responsive. For large codebases use git diff, which is faster and smarter.

### Why do similar lines show as replaced?

The comparison is line-based; each line is a unit. A tiny change inside a long line shows the whole line as changed.

### Is my text uploaded?

No. Both texts stay in this page.
