What this tool does
Comparing formatted JSON by eye is unreliable once nesting grows. This tool parses both documents and walks every key, reporting additions, removals and value changes as readable paths such as user.roles[0]. Arrays are compared by index, so reordering counts as a change.
How to use it
- Paste the original and the changed JSON.
- Run the comparison.
- Read the path-level report or copy it as text.
Questions
Does key order matter?
No. Objects are compared by key, regardless of the order in which they appear.
How are arrays compared?
By index. Moving an item from position 0 to 1 shows two changes rather than one move.
Can I copy the report?
Yes. The copy button produces a plain-text list that pastes cleanly into a ticket or chat.
